Design Portfolio 2005 Busy Artist with wonderful ideas and no time available needed The Garden Goddess to bring it all together!
The photograph above was taken immediately after reconfiguration and upgrading. The Garden Goddess tested, upgraded and raised the soil level for this backyard glade. She then wove the tapestry of textures already on site with an interplay of light and dark. She also defined the planting area and pathways. The Homeowner now has a pleasing and peaceful view from her kitchen windows. Next year the wild white roses will be cheerfully climbing over the split rail fence. The white blooms of these roses will thus add a soft brightness to the background, and their sweet scent is sure to attract a abundance of resident hummingbirds and finches.

The woodland glade area, the back steps, and dog pen area above are pictured BEFORE The Garden Goddess worked her magic! This house is situated on a private, rolling site that overlooks fields and distant woods. Wildlife is abundant as are wildflowers, ferns and wild roses. These plants were incorporated into the overall design, which allowed the gardens to become an integral part of the surrounding landscape.

Designing and Installing Woodland Glades are Gwenythe's very favourite type of Gardening. This Garden was a joy to work with and the results pleasing to the eye as well as friendly to the wooded environs. The Garden Goddess and team also installed an irrigation system, a hosta glade, laid out new garden beds and embraced the back of the house with climbing roses.
