The Garden Goddess prepared a management plan for the client. This plan included a step by step reorganization, upgrading, removing of invasive, overgrown and diseased species, soil testing and amending.
The garden space was redefined with a pleasing design flow with definite edging. A maintenance plan was then initiated for the Gardens, which kept weeds under control and achieved colour, texture and balance. The settings of some plants were recreated in new and interesting ways. All plants were colour grouped to achieve waves of colour. Additional interest was added with planned communities of seasonal plantings which added depth and accent, and also achieved a heightened interest in texture. The clients now hear on a daily basis from persons traveling this highway. Their comments reflect repeatedly what a spectacular and welcoming entrance to Litchfield proper these Gardens are..

      Litchfield Green Property

After purchasing this property because of the existing Gardens, the owner's career changes did not afford the luxury of time for upkeep. Six years of overgrowth and inattention took its toll. Poor soil conditions made worse by winter debris from a well-traveled highway added to the woes of this garden. Invasive perennials had taken over, most shrubs were diseased, straggly and overgrown. In
addition, a watering plan wasn't in place and the Gardens had struggled through years of drought.
